What is drum corps?
Drum corps is a marching musical activity that takes place during the summer season. Similar to marching band, it is composed only of brass instruments, percussion and colorguard. Drum Corps International (DCI) is the umbrella organization for all drum and bugle corps.
More information can be obtained at www.dci.org.

What if I don’t play an instrument?
Gold Drum and Bugle Corps marches trumpets, mellophones, baritones, contras, snares, tenors, basses, bells, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophone, timpani, flags, rifles and sabres. If you do not play an instrument we have listed, there is still a place for you. We can provide the practice materials for you to switch from your instrument to one of ours. If you do not play music, we encourage you to join one of our committees designed to enhance the marching experience for all members. Anyone who is interested is welcome in our program! Talk to our director for available volunteer positions.
