Gold Drum and Bugle Corps is a 501 non-profit organization based out of Oceanside, CA. We are the DCI reigning champions of the Open Class division in Southern California. Dr. Donald Flaherty founded the corps in 2005 and has continued to foster its’ growth and performance excellence with the additions of an Executive Board of Directors, talented staff, thoughtful corporate sponsorships, and volunteers with a “Heart of Gold”.
The Gold Drum and Bugle Corps mission is to enrich the educational, social, ethical, philosophical, and performing arts lives of young adults. The corps will provide progressive and highly developed instruction, performing arts programs, and mentoring from passionate, experienced, and professional individuals. With dedication, discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to youth development and performance excellence, our members’ will experience life changing moments and begin a journey that will catapult them into the real world with invaluable skills. While providing enjoyment to our local community and audiences nationwide, participation in Gold instills confidant, passionate, ethical, and character driven people that will make them highly desirable candidates in the workplace and contributing members of society.
